Thomas is one of two representing the Southeastern Meeting as nominees for 2022 NCAA Female of the Yr. Thomas and Ga runner Samantha Drop were selected from the 20 woman pupil-athletes nominated by SEC applications.
The NCAA produced the names of the 577 university nominees on July 14. Thomas is just one of 10 gymnasts nominated for the award and one particular of 5 nominees to be Honda Award winners for their sport or division.

Thomas graduated cum laude in April of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Used Physiology & Kinesiology – Fitness Wellness. She commenced pursuit of master’s in Health Instruction & Conduct this summer time.
About NCAA Female of the 12 months
The NCAA Woman of the Calendar year plan started in 1991. It honors the tutorial achievements, athletics excellence, neighborhood provider and leadership of graduating woman school athletes from all a few divisions. To be qualified, a nominee must have competed and earned a varsity letter in an NCAA-sponsored activity and ought to have earned her undergraduate diploma by summer season 2022.
